But the only way to interpret dreams is to ask the person woke up and told him what his dream . Dr. Cerf even dared to make a claim based on the initial study . He showed that the activity of individual brain cells , or neurons , are associated with specific objects or concepts .
In the Nature study , the researchers will only be able to identify images or concepts that are stored in the database . They obtain the results by studying patients implanted ( planted ) electrodes to monitor brain and treat seizures .
